Haloumi, Pear & Walnut Salad

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes


  • 100g of haloumi cheese
  • 1 bunch of lettuce leaf
  • 1 pear, sliced lengthways
  • 50g of walnut
  • 1/4 of red onion sliced
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 tsp of maple syrup
  • Half of a lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste


  1. Heat a pan on medium heat, and grill the haloumi on each side for five minutes or until it turns brown on each side.
  2. Slice the haloumi into 1cm blocks.
  3. In a salad bowl, put in the lettuce, pear, walnut, haloumi and onion.
  4. To prepare the dressing, mix the olive oil, maple syrup, lime juice and salt, then drizzle the dressing over the salad.
  5. Toss well then serve.
