Egg and Avocado Burger

Prep time: 45 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Total time: 70 minutes

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 hamburger bun
  • 1 avocado
  • 400g of minced beef or pork
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 2 slices of an onion
  • 1/2 an onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp of oregano
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • Tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Add the minced meat, diced onion, oregano, salt, pepper, and one egg into a large bowl and combine the mixture with your hands.
  2. Divide the mixture into four patties, seal it with plastic wrap and place it into the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat up a frying pan with olive oil and fry the patties for 6 minutes on each side or until the meat is brown.
  4. Remove the cooked patties from the pan, then fry the remaining eggs.
  5. In the meantime, assemble the burger by cutting a hamburger bun in half and squeezing tomato sauce on the bun.
  6. Place cheese, lettuce, meat patties, onion and avocado on the bun. Remove the egg from the pan and place it on top.
  7. Squeeze tomato sauce on the top of the ingredients, put the second half of the bun on top of the burger and pierce it with a skewer.
